વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી ન્યૂયોર્ક, અમેરિકા પહોંચી ગયા છે. પીએમ મોદીની આ વખતની મુલાકાતને ઘણી ખાસ માનવામાં આવે છે. પીએમ મોદીના અમેરિકા પહોંચતા પહેલા વ્હાઇટ હાઉસે મોટું નિવેદન આપ્યું છે. વ્હાઇટ હાઉસની રાષ્ટ્રીય સુરક્ષા પરિષદના પ્રવક્તા જોન કિર્બીએ કહ્યું કે, ભારત એક મોટી શક્તિ તરીકે ઉભરી રહ્યું છે. પીએમ મોદીની મુલાકાતથી બંને દેશો વચ્ચે વ્યૂહાત્મક ભાગીદારી આગળ વધશે.

તેમણે કહ્યું કે ભારત સાથેના સંબંધો પહેલા કરતા વધુ મજબૂત બન્યા છે. કિર્બીએ ભારતને સૌથી મોટો વ્યૂહાત્મક ભાગીદાર ગણાવ્યો હતો. તેમણે કહ્યું કે, અમે ભારત અને અમેરિકા વચ્ચે સંરક્ષણ સહયોગમાં સુધારો કરી રહ્યા છીએ. કિર્બીએ વધુમાં જણાવ્યું હતું કે, પીએમ મોદીની મુલાકાત મુક્ત, ખુલ્લા, સમૃદ્ધ અને સુરક્ષિત ઈન્ડો-પેસિફિકની સહિયારી પ્રતિબદ્ધતાને મજબૂત કરશે. વાસ્તવમાં પીએમ મોદીનો યુએસ પ્રવાસ ન્યૂયોર્કથી શરૂ થશે.

વડા પ્રધાન મોદી આવતીકાલ 21 જૂને ન્યૂયોર્કમાં સંયુક્ત રાષ્ટ્રના મુખ્યાલયમાં આંતરરાષ્ટ્રીય યોગ દિવસની ઉજવણીનું નેતૃત્વ કરશે. તેઓ 24 જૂન સુધી અમેરિકાના પ્રવાસે રહેશે. PM મોદી 22 જૂને અમેરિકાના રાષ્ટ્રપતિ જો બાઈડન અને તેમની પત્ની જીલ બાઈડન સાથે વ્હાઇટ હાઉસમાં સ્ટેટ ડિનર કરશે. આ દરમિયાન તેમને 21 તોપોની સલામી આપવામાં આવશે.
આ સિવાય વડા પ્રધાન મોદી અમેરિકાના સંસદના સંયુક્ત સત્રને સંબોધિત કરશે. આવું કરનાર તેઓ પ્રથમ ભારતીય વડાપ્રધાન છે. આ પહેલા તેમણે 2016માં અમેરિકાના સંસદને સંબોધિત કરી હતી.
